The pagoda was founded in 1830 and restored in 1995; Hang pagoda worships Buddha in Bac Tong sect (Mahayana Buddism). The founder of the pagoda is To Hue Mang Kim Tien, the current abbot at Hang pagoda is the nun, Thich Nu Dieu Minh. The date of death is the 1st of the lunar February. The lunar May 5th is the annual Via Ba feast. The pagoda is located in the administrative boundary of Thanh Tan commune, Tay Ninh city.
