Ba Pagoda

Located in the middle of the mountain with the height of 350 meters is the system of Ba pagoda (Linh Son Tien Thach Tu), also known as Buddha pagoda, Thuong pagoda; it was formed in 1745 and built in 1763, with an area of 6,151.8 m². This is the oldest temple in Tay Ninh, the vestige of the first inhabitants of Tay Ninh and also a clear affirmation of the time when Buddhism came to Tay Ninh. Zen master Dao Trung – Thien Hieu, known as To Bung Dia, was the first person who started the construction of this pagoda. During the French occupation of Ba mountain, the system of Ba mountain monastery was completely destroyed. In 1956, the Venerable Master – Giac Dien organized the repairing and rebuilding of a number of pagodas. During the Resitance War against America, bombs continued to wreak havoc on the mountain pagoda system.
